Get to Know: Universal Companies (John & Marti)

Hi everyone I’m John, co-owner of Universal Companies alongside my mom (and hero) Marti, who founded the business 40+ years ago.

I wanted to take a moment to say how grateful we are to be part of this group. Universal actually started as an esthetics-focused day spa before we ever became a spa supplier. Mom built it as a single mother, so the business was basically my second home as a kid.

Universal has grown a lot since then: we now support over 80,000 spa professionals and businesses around the world, but solo esties will always have our heart. We know how much drive it takes to open that first room, build your book of business, and keep going when things get tough.

That’s why this partnership with the Money Making Esthetician community is so meaningful to us. We’re here to share what we’ve learned working with the best spas in the world, highlight tools and ideas that can save you time and money, and hopefully make your entrepreneurial journey a little smoother.
