- How Estheticians Can Do Pop Ups at Gyms and Get New Clients
If you are an esthetician looking for a creative way to attract new clients, gym pop ups can be one of the fastest ways to introduce people to your services. But a successful pop up is not just about showing up with skincare products and hoping people walk over. It requires a plan, the right offer, the right mindset, and a system for turning those interactions into actual bookings. Here is exactly how I approach gym pop ups step by step. Step 1: Get Clear on Why You Want to Do Gym Pop Ups Before reaching out to any gyms, ask yourself a simple question. Who are you trying to attract? Not every gym has the same type of clientele. Some attract people who are very wellness focused and willing to invest in their appearance, while others attract people who may not prioritize skincare. Personally, I like to go where my people go. That usually means places like Barry’s Bootcamp, Bunda, and Pilates studios. These environments attract people who already care about health, wellness, and self care. Those are often the same clients who are willing to invest in skincare treatments. The goal is not just exposure. The goal is exposure to the right audience. Step 2: Choose the Right Treatment for a Gym Environment A gym is not the place to perform a full facial. Your treatment needs to be simple, quick, and easy to sanitize. Think treatments that are: Fast Clean Results driven Easy to perform without water For me, this is exactly why I invested in the Glacial treatment. I am able to perform 10 minute treatments and everything is disposable. This makes it ideal for pop ups. Here is what I bring with me: -My Glacial device -Disposable tips -Gloves -Barbicide spray -Barbicide wipes -Moisturizer My process is simple. I apply moisturizer, perform the treatment using the disposable tip and gloves, and then dispose of everything afterward. It keeps everything sanitary and efficient. Step 3: Stay Within Your Service Radius Another important strategy is staying local. I focus on gyms that are within five to ten miles of my studio. It does not make sense to go too far out if those clients are not likely to travel to you. Pop ups should support your long term business growth, not just give you random exposure. Keeping your pop ups within your service area increases the chances those people will become regular clients. Step 4: Reach Out to the Gym Once you know which gyms you want to target, reach out and introduce yourself. I recommend contacting them in three ways: -Instagram DM -Email -Phone call Doing all three increases the chances that someone will see your message. When you introduce yourself, explain what you specialize in and why your treatment is a good fit for their space. For example, I explain that the Glacial treatment helps calm inflammation, refresh the skin, and has no downtime or adverse effects. Text Message Script Hi, my name is Maria and I own The Beauty Plug. I specialize in results driven skincare treatments and offer a quick 10 minute Glacial treatment that helps reduce inflammation and instantly refresh the skin with no downtime. I would love to partner with your gym and offer your members complimentary mini treatments during a pop up event. Let me know if this is something you would be open to. Phone Script Hi, my name is Maria and I own a facial studio nearby called The Beauty Plug. I specialize in treatments that help with acne, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation. I offer a quick 10 minute Glacial treatment that works perfectly for gym environments because there is no downtime and everything is disposable. I would love to come in and host a pop up for your members. Who would be the best person for me to connect with about setting that up? Email Script Subject: Skincare Pop Up for Your Members Hi, My name is Maria and I own The Beauty Plug, a facial studio that specializes in corrective skincare treatments for acne, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation. I offer a quick 10 minute Glacial treatment that helps calm inflammation and refresh the skin with no downtime. Because everything used is disposable, it works perfectly for gym environments. I would love to partner with your gym and come in for a pop up experience where members can try the treatment and learn more about skin health. Please let me know if this is something you would be open to. Warmly, Maria Step 5: Prepare Your Setup When you arrive at the gym, everything should feel clean, organized, and professional. Bring everything you need for sanitation and treatments. Your setup may include: -Your device -Disposable treatment tips -Gloves -Barbicide spray -Barbicide wipes -Moisturizer -A chair or bed if needed -QR code signage -Brochures -Business cards Keeping your setup clean and simple makes people feel comfortable approaching you. Step 6: The Mindset Shift Now let me be honest about something. Doing pop ups can feel uncomfortable in the beginning. You are walking into someone else’s space, introducing yourself, and putting yourself out there. Some people may look at you strangely or seem unsure about what you are doing there. That is completely normal. But your mindset has to shift. The minute you park your car, you are on. You need to show up with energy, confidence, and professionalism. In the wise words of Britney Spears… You better work. Introduce yourself to the staff first. Be friendly, kind, and professional. Offer them a treatment so they can experience it themselves. Your goal is to leave with the staff feeling like they know you and love what you do. When the staff likes you, they naturally encourage members to try your treatment. Step 7: Talk to People Do not just stand there waiting for people to approach you. Say hello. Smile. Let people know what you are offering. Some people will be curious right away. Some people will walk by. Some people may seem unsure. That is part of the process. The more you do pop ups, the more confident and natural it becomes. Step 8: Offer a Simple Promotion One of the biggest lessons I learned is that your promotion needs to be simple. Now I only offer one promotion. Clients receive half off their first Glacial treatment if they book that day. The offer is only valid that day. When I first started, I allowed people to redeem the promotion later. But it became too difficult to track everyone and follow up after returning to the studio. When the offer is valid only that day, people are more likely to commit. Step 9: Capture Their Information This step is extremely important. I have every person scan a QR code that leads directly to my website. Once they scan it, they are able to: -Learn about my services -Book an appointment -Join my email list -Receive newsletters and skincare education Even if they do not book immediately, they are now connected to my business. Step 10: Bring Brochures and Business Cards Another thing that helps tremendously during pop ups is bringing printed materials. Not everyone will book on the spot. Some people want to read more about your services later. Here is what I bring: -A brochure with my full menu -A brochure about the Glacial treatment -A brochure about chemical peels -Business cards My main menu brochure includes my full price list, parking information, directions to the studio, and a breakdown of my treatments. I also bring separate brochures for treatments I want to highlight, such as Glacial and chemical peels. When someone receives a treatment or shows interest, I hand them the brochures so they can learn more later and share them with friends. Step 11: Put a QR Code on Everything One of the most important things you can do is add a QR code to everything. Your brochures should have a QR code. Your business cards should have a QR code. Your signage should have a QR code. Every QR code should lead back to your website. This allows people to easily: -Book an appointment -Learn about treatments -Join your email list -Stay connected with your business The easier it is for someone to find you later, the more bookings you will generate. Step 12: Build Relationships Over Time The first pop up may not produce huge results immediately. That is normal. Relationships take time to build. I frequently visit the gyms where I do pop ups. Over time, members start recognizing me and remembering the treatment. That familiarity builds trust. Pop ups are not just about one event. They are about building visibility within your community. Gym pop ups can be an incredible strategy for estheticians who want to meet new clients, build visibility, and grow their business. The key is preparation. Choose the right gyms. Offer a treatment that fits the environment. Capture contact information. Show up with confidence and professionalism. Yes, it may feel uncomfortable at first. But growth almost always happens outside of your comfort zone. And sometimes the best opportunities come from simply showing up.
- Advanced Korean Skincare Innovations for Professional Skin Treatments
Regenerative Formulas Designed for Modern Esthetic Treatments The evolution of professional skincare has shifted toward regenerative science, barrier repair, and bioactive ingredients that support skin health at the cellular level. Modern treatments are no longer focused solely on exfoliation or surface hydration — they now integrate growth factors, peptides, PDRN, and advanced delivery systems to improve skin quality from within. Several innovative formulas developed with Korean aesthetic science are helping professionals deliver results-driven treatments with minimal downtime while supporting skin recovery and long-term rejuvenation. Below are five advanced professional products designed to elevate treatment outcomes and support healthier, more resilient skin. Skin Remedy Illumin-8 Serum Multi-Active Regenerative Serum for Advanced Skin Treatments Skin Remedy Illumin-8 Serum is a rejuvenating, multi-active formula designed to visibly improve signs of aging while enhancing skin clarity and hydration. Built on a hyaluronic acid base , the serum delivers a blend of peptides, growth factors, and stem cell–derived actives that support collagen activity and skin regeneration. This formula works by stimulating fibroblast activity, helping improve skin tone, smooth the appearance of fine lines, and support overall skin vitality. Key Benefits Softens fine lines, wrinkles, and expression lines Improves tone, clarity, and skin texture Supports collagen production and firmness Deeply hydrates and plumps the skin Helps reduce the appearance of scars and post-inflammatory marks Acne-friendly and barrier supportive Standout Technology The serum combines EGF and FGF growth factors with a targeted peptide blend. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Pentapeptide-18 help relax expression lines while also supporting collagen signaling. Because of its versatile formula, Illumin-8 can be used during microneedling, nano-infusion, and advanced device-based treatments . Dermagarden PDRN Cream Regenerative Barrier Repair Moisturizer Dermagarden PDRN Cream is a restorative moisturizer formulated to promote skin repair and resilience. At the center of the formula is salmon-derived PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) , an ingredient widely used in regenerative Korean aesthetic therapies. PDRN supports cellular renewal and tissue repair, helping skin recover from stress, environmental damage, and aesthetic treatments. Key Benefits Encourages skin regeneration and recovery Improves elasticity and firmness Strengthens the skin barrier Calms irritation and redness Enhances overall radiance and hydration Why PDRN Matters Unlike basic moisturizers that only hydrate the surface, PDRN helps support cellular repair and tissue regeneration , making it particularly beneficial for post-treatment recovery and compromised skin barriers . Desembre Waterdrop SPF 40 PA++ Lightweight Protection with Skin-Supporting Actives Sun protection remains one of the most critical components of any skincare regimen. Desembre Waterdrop SPF 40 PA++ delivers broad-spectrum UV protection while maintaining a breathable, hydrating finish. The formula features a water-drop texture that melts into the skin, leaving no heavy residue — an important factor in daily compliance. Key Benefits Broad-spectrum UV protection (SPF 40 PA++) Lightweight and non-greasy hydration Helps soothe sensitive or irritated skin Supports barrier health and skin renewal Leaves skin smooth and radiant Added Skin Benefits The inclusion of EGF and snail secretion filtrate provides additional support for skin repair and barrier maintenance, making it suitable for post-treatment protection . Thermoceutical FCR Mini Bundle Corrective Resurfacing for Acne and Skin Texture The Thermoceutical FCR Mini Bundle is a professional corrective system designed to promote controlled skin renewal in acne-prone and textured skin. The treatment combines spicule technology with mandelic acid–based exfoliation to stimulate regeneration while minimizing irritation. Key Benefits Promotes controlled skin resurfacing Supports acne healing and prevention Improves skin texture and tone Helps reduce post-acne scarring Encourages healthy skin regeneration Unique Technology Spicules act as microscopic bio-needles that stimulate skin renewal, while mandelic acid provides antibacterial support and gentle exfoliation. Compared to other AHAs, mandelic acid offers effective results with lower irritation risk , making it ideal for acne-prone clients. Celldraw P-Stem Solution Set Regenerative Hydration and Brightening Treatment The Celldraw P-Stem Solution Set is designed to revitalize stressed or compromised skin through a combination of PDRN, glutathione, peptides, and hyaluronic acid . This bio-compatible formula improves skin vitality while maintaining comfort, making it ideal for advanced treatments that require both conditioning and recovery support . Key Benefits Promotes cellular repair and regeneration Enhances hydration and skin luminosity Provides antioxidant protection Improves resilience and overall skin condition Calms stressed or compromised skin Treatment Compatibility The lightweight solution is suitable for multiple professional delivery systems, including: Nano-infusion Electroporation Microneedling Mesotherapy The Future of Professional Skincare Modern aesthetic treatments increasingly focus on supporting the skin’s natural repair mechanisms rather than simply resurfacing the outer layer . By combining ingredients such as growth factors, peptides, PDRN, antioxidants, and advanced delivery systems , skincare professionals can achieve results that enhance both immediate appearance and long-term skin health . For estheticians and clinicians, incorporating regenerative technologies into treatment protocols allows for more targeted, effective, and skin-supportive solutions for clients seeking healthier, stronger, and more radiant skin.
- Are You Ready for Your Mother’s Day Sale?
Hey there, estheticians! It’s Allyson, your marketing and business coach, popping in with some real talk about Mother’s Day promotions. I’ll be honest—this newsletter wasn’t perfectly planned three weeks ago and mapped out in my content calendar (like it should have been). We’re a little behind, and if you’re thinking, “Mother’s Day isn’t until May…why the panic in March?”—that’s kind of the point. Most estheticians treat holidays like that: last-minute scrambling, a Canva graphic slapped together, “$20 off this week!!” And then they wonder why it didn’t move the needle. (I’ve been there for years!) This week, we’re talking about something that makes some of you uncomfortable… promotions . Specifically, Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day Isn’t Just a “Spa Holiday” It’s a buying holiday . People are already spending—husbands, kids, adult daughters, friends, coworkers. The question isn’t “Will people spend?” The question is: “Will they spend money with YOU?” And here’s where most estheticians mess it up: They think a promo is: Slap a discount on something Post it twice Hope people remember That doesn’t work. The slap-it-together method doesn’t pay rent. This is exactly why I created the Promo Playbook Checklist —and yes, it’s free. Promos don’t fail from lack of effort—they fail from lack of structure . The Right Way to Plan a Mother’s Day Promotion Before you hit “publish,” ask yourself: Am I discounting or bundling? Is this giftable? Is it easy to explain in one sentence? Did I build urgency? Do I have a follow-up plan? What happens AFTER they redeem it? Because the goal isn’t just to sell one gift card. The goal is: Rebooking Retail sales Referrals Long-term clients Otherwise, you’ve just created two weeks of chaos and called it marketing—and if you’ve done that before, you know how stressful it can be. Make This Mother’s Day Count If you’re in a season of growth…If you’re ready to hit bigger revenue goals…If you’re tired of watching other estheticians post “Fully Booked for Mother’s Day!” while you say, “maybe next year”… Then this is your moment to be intentional. Inside The Money Making Esthetician , you’ll get the Promo Playbook Checklist and systems that actually make promotions profitable instead of stressful. Big months aren’t hoped for—they’re planned . Mother’s Day is coming whether you prepare or not. So which season are you choosing? “I’ll just see what happens.” Or “I’m building this on purpose.” Let’s make May a money month. No panic posting this year—deal? With love and strategy, Allyson @estheticiansinbusiness
- The Korean Lash Lift Explained: The Next Evolution in Lash Artistry
Lash lifting has come a long way — and today’s advanced techniques allow artists to create highly customized results for every client. Among the most progressive methods in the industry are the Korean Lash Lift , the Freestyle Lash Lift Method , and the Adhesive-Free Lash Lift Method — all developed, researched, and refined through Elleebana’s advanced education programs. If you’re ready to elevate your lash services, here’s what you need to know. What Is the Korean Lash Lift? Originally developed in Korea and further refined through Elleebana’s education systems, the Korean Lash Lift was designed to address some of the most common lash challenges artists face — including: Downward-growing lashes Thick or coarse lashes Resistant lashes that won’t hold a curl This technique focuses on strategic softening and controlled reshaping , allowing artists to create a strong, lasting curl while maintaining the health and integrity of the natural lashes. The result? A defined, dramatic lift — without compromising lash condition. How the Technique Works Following Elleebana’s structured training protocols, the Korean Lash Lift involves a unique two-phase shaping approach: Flat Shield Placement - A flat shield is positioned just above the natural lash line. Strategic Softening - A lifting lotion, combined with a viscosity controller to prevent slipping, is applied while lashes are carefully stretched upward. Cling Film Application - During the softening stage, cling film may be used to maintain consistency and precise placement. Transition to Curved Shield - Once the lashes become pliable, they are transferred to a curved shield to sculpt a precise, defined curl. The service is commonly performed using systems like Elleeplex Profusion , a vegan-friendly formula designed to be gentle yet effective — even on the most resistant lash types. Who Is It Best Suited For? The Korean Lash Lift is ideal for clients with: ✔ Thick or coarse lashes ✔ Downward-growing lashes ✔ Stubborn lashes resistant to traditional lift methods Less Suitable For: ✖ Weak or fragile lashes ✖ Naturally curly lashes that require minimal reshaping Understanding proper client selection is essential for achieving safe, beautiful results. Beyond One Technique: Advanced Customization Elleebana’s advanced education doesn’t stop at one method. The Korean Lash Lift Techniques Online Course also includes: The Festyle ash Lift Method The Adhesive-Free Lash Lift Method This comprehensive training allows artists to fully customize every service based on lash type, texture, and client goals. What You’ll Learn in the Online Course Through professional guidance, artists gain in-depth knowledge of: How to select the appropriate technique for different lash types The science behind viscosity controllers and lotion placement Safe customization strategies Protocols to prevent over-processing, irritation, or uneven results By the end of the course, artists develop the confidence and expertise to deliver everything from soft, natural enhancement to dramatic curls for even the most resistant lashes. - Why I Started Taking Deposits + Memberships (And Did It Intentionally)
I started taking memberships. I started taking deposits. But I did it in a very intentional way. I started noticing that people book very differently than they did back in 2020. The way clients move, reschedule, commit, and plan has changed. So instead of ignoring it, I really sat back and studied it. I was not complaining. I was mind-boggled. I would have a fully booked Saturday. Credit cards on file. Everything confirmed. And then… reschedules. Not one. Multiple. Suddenly I would have nothing on my books. Meanwhile, other clients had messaged me asking for that exact Saturday. I told them I was completely booked. I scheduled them two or three weeks out. Then my Saturday would fall apart, and when I tried to get those original clients back in, they could not make it. Eventually it would be so far out that they would reschedule again. And I remember thinking… what am I doing wrong? Because it kept happening. So instead of blaming clients, and instead of getting frustrated, I realized this was a systems issue. Not a people issue. At the same time, I really worked on niching myself and marketing to my niche. If you do not know who you are marketing to, that is your first problem. You cannot market to everyone. You have to know exactly who you are speaking to. That is why I created my ebook. I designed it to help you get clarity on who your audience is and who you are actually speaking to. https://www.themoneymakingesti.com/product-page/the-esthetician-s-handbook Before you start taking deposits. Before you start building memberships. Before you change your policies. There is an audiobook I want you to read. It is called Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. https://amzn.to/4tLpMtM When I started reading it, something shifted for me. I stopped looking at deposits from a defensive place. It was not about “respect my time.” It was about building something sustainable while still being of service. That is when I decided to build memberships. I wanted to reward my recurring clients. I wanted to give them value. I offer thirty dollars off my regular price for members. I add paraffin wax. I celebrate their birthdays. I give little seasonal goodies. Eye patches from Universal Companies. Small touches that say thank you. Memberships have been really successful for me. But just because I have them does not mean I take them for granted. I nurture them. I keep giving. I keep elevating the experience. Now that memberships are growing, my availability is tighter. So when I do have open spots, especially for new clients, I am more intentional. I created a new client request form. I give people three ways to book: 1) Fill out the new client request form. 2) DM me. I actually do not mind DMs because I like having a one-on-one conversation. I like guiding them. 3) Book directly through my booking link, which requires full payment at the time of booking. If they fill out the request form, I ask them everything. Do you want relaxing or corrective? What are your goals? Any reactions? Upcoming events? I gather all of it. Then I send a detailed email explaining what we are going to do and what they can expect. Only after that do I say: I require a non refundable fifty percent deposit. You may reschedule one time. Now, I will be honest. I am very lenient. I have kids. I live in LA. Life happens. I take the person and the situation into consideration. But I say that policy to protect myself and my business. Customer service always comes first. And this is why I recommend reading Unreasonable Hospitality . Because even though I have policies, I deliver them through hospitality. We have talked on the phone. We have emailed. I have listened. I understand their needs and wants. They feel heard. So when I say there is a fifty percent deposit required, they are excited to pay it. They trust me. They are already invested. They are already looking forward to coming in. It feels completely different than just sending a payment link cold. By the time they walk into my studio, the trust is already built. The bed is made. The drinks are ready. Essential oils are diffusing. The space feels beautiful. They get paraffin. They get massage. They get the full experience. That is why I started taking deposits.
- Stop Posting for Everyone: Define Who You Are as an Esthetician
If you feel stuck in your business, I want you to pause and ask yourself one honest question: Are you trying to speak to everyone? Because if you are, that might be the very thing holding you back. One of the most powerful shifts you can make in your career is learning who you are as an esthetician. Not what is trending. Not what everyone else is posting. Not what you think will attract the most people. But who you actually are. Who do you genuinely love treating? Is it acne?Hyperpigmentation?Melasma?Luxury anti aging?Busy moms who need an hour to breathe?High level corrective clients ready to invest? When you try to attract every skin type, every budget, and every personality, your message becomes diluted. It becomes generic. And generic does not convert. Clarity converts. When you know exactly who you love serving, everything shifts:Your content becomes stronger.Your confidence grows.Your consultations improve.Your pricing feels justified.Your results become more consistent. You are not for everyone and that is not a weakness. That is your power. You Cannot Expect Different Results Doing the Same Things Let’s be honest. We cannot keep saying:The industry is slow.Clients are not spending. The algorithm hates me. If we are not doing anything differently. You cannot post once a week and expect to be booked out.You cannot avoid sales conversations and expect higher income. You cannot skip education and expect to charge premium pricing. Different income requires different behavior. If you want different results this year, ask yourself:Am I marketing consistently?Am I following up?Am I improving my consultation skills?Am I deepening my knowledge in my specialty?Am I positioning myself as an expert? Complaining does not grow a business.Clarity and discipline do. Define Your Ideal Client Take time to really define her. What does she struggle with? What is she Googling at night? What has she tried that did not work? What is she afraid of?What results is she willing to invest in? When you speak directly to her pain points, she feels seen. She feels understood. And when someone feels understood, they trust you. When you try to speak to everyone, no one feels personally called out. When you speak to one person clearly, she thinks, “She is talking to me.” That is when bookings happen. Different Types of Marketing You Should Be Using Once you are clear on who you are and who you serve, your marketing becomes intentional instead of random. Here are the types of marketing every esthetician should understand: 1. Educational Marketing Teach what you know. Explain acne triggers. Break down hyperpigmentation. Talk about barrier damage. When you educate, you build authority. 2. Result Driven Marketing Before and after photos. Case studies. Treatment series results. Show transformation, not just relaxation. 3. Storytelling Marketing Share why you started. Share your own skin journey. Share client wins. People connect emotionally before they commit financially. 4. Authority Positioning Speak confidently. Share your certifications. Show your continuing education. Explain your protocols. Position yourself as the expert, not the hobbyist. 5. Community Marketing Engage. Ask questions. Create conversations. Build trust inside your audience before you sell to them. 6. Direct Response Marketing Clear calls to action. Book now. Apply for this treatment. DM me the word acne. Tell people exactly what to do next. Most estheticians post randomly.Successful estheticians market strategically. You do not need everyone. You need the right ones. Learn who you are.Define who you love treating.Speak directly to her.Market intentionally.Move differently if you want different results. Clarity creates confidence.Confidence creates income.Income creates freedom. So ask yourself today: Who am I?Who do I actually love treating? And what am I doing differently this year to grow? That is where the shift begins

- The Estie Social Suite: The Marketing System That Works as Hard as You Do
If you’ve ever sat in your treatment room between clients, staring at your phone thinking, “I know I need to post… but what do I even say?” Welcome to being an esthetician. You’re not just providing services — you’re running an entire business. You’re the CEO, the content creator, the brand manager, the photographer, the sales team, and sometimes even the receptionist. And that’s exactly why marketing feels so overwhelming. You’re a skincare expert — not a full-time social media strategist. You know how to repair the skin barrier, treat acne, and create glowing results… but writing captions that sound like you and actually convert followers into paying clients? That’s a different skill set. The problem isn’t your talent. The problem is that you don’t have a system. That’s where The Estie Social Suite comes in. What Is The Estie Social Suite? The Aesthetically Social Suite is a marketing membership designed specifically for estheticians who want to grow their business without burning out trying to “figure out content” every single day. - The Essential Guide to Vajacials: Elevating Intimate Care
What Is a Vajacial and Who Is It For? A vajacial is a specialized professional treatment for the vulvar area, specifically targeting the bikini line and outer labia (never internal). This advanced service is designed to support intimate skin health by addressing: Ingrown hairs and congestion Discoloration and uneven tone Irritation and post-hair-removal sensitivity Texture and visible bumps caused by friction Vajacials are an excellent complementary treatment to waxing, intimate brightening services, and comprehensive intimate care programs. When performed regularly, they help maintain smoother, clearer, and healthier-looking skin. How Should the Skin Be Prepped Before a Vajacial? Vajacials are designed to work in tandem with hair-removal services. They may be performed immediately after waxing to calm the skin, reduce irritation, and support recovery. When paired with intimate brightening protocols, best practice is to complete the full brightening series first. Once results are achieved, monthly vajacials are recommended to maintain brightness, support ongoing skin renewal, and promote long-term clarity and comfort. What Should Clients Do Before Their Appointment? To ensure optimal results and protect skin integrity, clients should discontinue the following 24–48 hours before their vajacial: Retinol or active body lotions Exfoliating scrubs or acids Exfoliating mitts or loofahs This helps prevent over-exfoliation and reduces the risk of irritation during treatment. How Soon After Waxing or Shaving Can a Vajacial Be Performed? The V-Collection Vajacial System may be used immediately following waxing or shaving. For clients with sensitive or reactive skin, the Pearly Peach Polish may be omitted to maintain comfort while still delivering effective results. Step-by-Step Vajacial Protocol (V-Collection System) The V-Collection Vajacial System includes two professional protocols and the following products: Hoo Haa Cleanser (16 oz) Pearly Peach Polish (8 oz) Phresh Peach Enzyme Masque (16 oz) Buff Solution (16 oz) AHA/BHA Masque (2 oz) Cool Aid Calming Masque (16 oz) Heart Sheet Masques (8) Prickly Milk Serum (4 oz) Each step is designed to gently cleanse, exfoliate, decongest, calm, and nourish the intimate skin while maintaining barrier health. Why Gentle Cleansing Is Essential for Intimate Treatments The intimate area is naturally more sensitive than other parts of the body. Gentle cleansing is critical to remove impurities without disrupting the skin barrier. Using a cleanser specifically formulated for intimate skin helps prevent irritation, reactions, and unnecessary inflammation—creating the ideal foundation for the rest of the treatment. How Are Ingrown Hairs Safely Addressed? If ingrown extractions are included, they should be performed after the Phresh Peach Enzyme Masque and before applying the Buff Solution . This timing ensures the skin is properly softened and prepped, allowing for safer, more comfortable extractions with minimal trauma. What Products or Techniques Should Be Avoided? To protect the skin and maximize results: Avoid all forms of heat and friction in the treated area for 72 hours post-treatment. Additional precautions: Avoid treatment during the menstrual cycle (services may be performed 5 days before or after). Pregnant or lactating clients must obtain physician approval. Do not treat areas with open sores, lesions, or wounds. Clients with a history of herpes simplex virus in the treatment area must take prescribed antiviral medication starting 3 days prior and continuing 5 days post-treatment. How Should Vajacials Be Priced? Typical professional pricing includes: Vajacial Services Single Vajacial Treatment: $90 Package of Three Vajacial Treatments: $210 (Home care not included) Intimate Brightening & Vajacial Package Three Intimate Brightening Treatments + Three Vajacial Treatments: $500 (Includes Home Care Kit) Standalone Service or Add-On? Vajacials may be offered as a standalone service or integrated into an existing service menu. However, for optimal results and client retention, pairing vajacials with waxing services is highly recommended. What Results Can Clients Realistically Expect? Clients can expect: Visible reduction in ingrown hairs and congestion Gentle removal of dead skin buildup Smoother texture and fewer visible bumps Improved appearance along the bikini line Support for reduced hyperfriction and irritation Results are progressive and improve with consistency. How Many Sessions Are Recommended? For best results, vajacials should be scheduled monthly and ideally coordinated with waxing appointments. This cadence helps maintain skin clarity, comfort, and long-term improvements. Post-Treatment Care and Homecare Support Professional results are best maintained with proper homecare. The Intimate Bikini Homecare line pairs seamlessly with both Intimate Brightening treatments and the V-Collection Vajacial System. Recommended homecare enhancements include: V-Drops Opal Cheeks Prickly Milk Serum These products help extend results, support skin health, and prevent recurring concerns between appointments. How to Professionally Position Vajacials to Clients When introducing vajacials, position them as a maintenance and enhancement service , not a trend. The V-Collection Kit is designed to elevate services clients are already receiving—whether waxing or intimate brightening. Explain that vajacials help preserve results, improve skin comfort, and address common concerns caused by hair removal and friction. When framed as part of a long-term intimate care plan, clients clearly understand the value and purpose of the treatment. Vajacials are not about vanity—they are about skin health, comfort, and confidence. When performed correctly and consistently, they become an essential part of modern professional intimate care. - Lash Lift & Tint: The 5 Biggest Mistakes and How to Fix Them
A lash lift and tint can completely transform your eyes, giving them a wide-awake, luscious look without the need for mascara or eyelash curlers. But achieving the perfect lift and tint isn’t just about technique—it’s also about avoiding common mistakes that can compromise results. In this post, we’ll cover the top five “don’ts” every lash technician (and client!) should know. 1. Don’t Skip Proper Lash Cleansing One of the most common—and costly—mistakes is failing to thoroughly cleanse the lashes before the service . Oils, makeup residue, skincare products, and debris create a barrier that prevents lifting and tint solutions from penetrating evenly. This can lead to: Uneven curl patterns Poor lift retention Patchy tint absorption Lashes that fail to lift altogether Proper cleansing is essential. Ensure lashes are completely free of residue so solutions can work efficiently and safely. We recommend professional-grade lash cleansers, like Elleebana Makeup Remover , to prep every set of lashes before beginning a lift and tint. 2. Don’t Start on Damp Lashes Lashes must be completely dry before wrapping and applying solutions. Moisture left on the lashes can dilute the lifting and setting products, leading to: Inconsistent processing Weak or uneven results Potential overcompensation with processing times By starting on dry lashes, you ensure controlled, predictable results and protect the integrity of the natural lash. 3. Don’t Use the Wrong Rod or Shield The rod or shield you choose is critical—it determines the shape, curl, and overall look of the lift. Choosing the wrong size can cause: Over-curling, crimping, or lash stress (if the rod is too small) Little to no visible lift (if the rod is too large) Each client’s lash length, thickness, eye shape, and desired result should guide rod or shield selection. One size does not fit all, and customization is key. Learn more about proper rod selection here . For visual guidance, check out these helpful videos: Elleebana Lash Lift Tutorials . 4. Don’t Overprocess or Underprocess Timing is everything when it comes to a lash lift and tint. Overprocessing can weaken the lash structure, causing dryness, frizz, breakage, or bent lashes. Under-processing may result in minimal lift, poor curl retention, or uneven results. Follow recommended processing times and adjust based on lash condition and thickness. Timing should never be guessed or rushed. For reference, check the attached [processing time guide]. 5. Don’t Ignore Aftercare in the First 24–48 Hours The first 24–48 hours after a lash lift and tint are critical. During this period, lashes are still setting into their new shape. Ignoring proper aftercare can cause: Premature curl drop Distorted lift Shortened longevity of the lift and tint Aftercare tips: Keep lashes dry Avoid heat, steam, and sweating Refrain from rubbing or applying oils Following these recommendations ensures your clients enjoy long-lasting, beautiful lashes while protecting their natural lash health. Final Thoughts A flawless lash lift and tint isn’t just about technique—it’s about avoiding these common mistakes . By properly cleansing, drying, selecting the right rods, following processing times, and adhering to aftercare, you ensure the best results every time. Invest in the details, and the lift will follow.
- Discover the Science of Calm, Healthy Skin with IOKA Skin+Science
Healthy skin starts with a strong barrier—and that’s exactly what inspired Olga Goldberger , founder of IOKA Skin+Science , to create her revolutionary skincare line. After moving to the U.S. in the 1980s, Olga struggled with severe rosacea. Conventional skincare only made her skin worse. Over time, she realized the culprit wasn’t the active ingredients but common chemical emulsifiers found in most formulas, which disrupted her skin barrier. Determined to find a solution, she combined her scientific expertise with a personal mission, creating her first emulsifier-free moisturizer in 1998 . Within just two weeks, her skin transformed—redness faded, hydration improved, and her skin felt calm and balanced. Friends took notice, and what started as a personal solution became a lifelong passion. Science Meets Skincare Olga’s background as a scientist shapes every IOKA formulation. She approaches skin as a complex biological system , focusing on mechanisms, tolerances, and interactions rather than trends or marketing hype. Her signature approach? Emulsifier-free formulations using highly purified natural phospholipids from sunflower and soy. These ingredients not only stabilize the product but also support skin barrier repair, hydration, and resilience , ensuring that skincare works with your skin, not against it . Why the Skin Barrier Matters The skin barrier is the foundation of healthy skin. When compromised, even the most powerful active ingredients can’t function optimally. Olga views the skin barrier as four interconnected layers —physical, chemical, microbial, and immunological—and IOKA products are designed to support each layer . -Physical barrier: Emulsifier-free formulations, phospholipids, and liposomal delivery systems preserve lipid structure. -Chemical barrier: pH-balanced products, NAD⁺ boosters, and antioxidants protect biochemical processes. -Microbial barrier: Minimalist formulas and probiotic peptides maintain balance rather than strip the skin. -Immunological barrier: Repair-signaling peptides and copper peptides calm inflammation and support regeneration. Healthy skin isn’t about aggression—it’s about balance, patience, and long-term care . The IOKA Difference For Olga, “skin science” is more than a buzzword. It’s respect for biology, evidence, and long-term results . IOKA products are designed to work with your skin’s natural repair mechanisms , not override them. By incorporating NAD⁺ boosters like NMN and Niacinamide , IOKA formulations support cellular regeneration, barrier repair, and healthy aging . The result? Skin that feels nourished, resilient, and radiant over time—not just temporarily plumped or superficially smooth. Introducing the “Hydration Pump” One of Olga’s signature methods is the Hydration Pump —a layering technique that restores the skin barrier using multiple hydrating, emulsifier-free products, from thinnest to thickest. This method is simple yet powerful, boosting hydration, barrier repair, and skin vitality . Olga even used it herself to revive her skin after chemotherapy and radiation, demonstrating its effectiveness for all skin types and conditions. Real Results Rosacea relief: One young woman saw her flare calm in just 24 hours after using the Anti-Aging Travel Kit twice daily. Hydration and firmness: An older woman used Firming Antioxidant Serum and Ageless Boost Moisturizer twice daily for two weeks and noticed visible improvement. Your Skin Deserves Care, Not Stress Olga’s message is clear: skincare should empower, not punish . By supporting the skin barrier and respecting natural processes, IOKA helps you achieve calm, healthy, and radiant skin at any age . - TimeMachine Peel: Why Prep and Adaptability Matter in Skin Treatments
When it comes to skin treatments, finding a protocol that delivers visible results without compromising skin health can be challenging. The TimeMachine Peel stands out because it balances effectiveness with gentleness, offering a customizable approach that respects the skin’s natural barrier. This blog post explores what makes the TimeMachine Peel a trusted choice for skin professionals, the importance of preparation, and how adaptability during treatment ensures the best results. Many skin experts seek treatments that improve texture, tone, and overall skin quality without causing unnecessary irritation or damage. The TimeMachine Peel appeals because it is results-driven but not aggressive for the sake of aggression. Unlike some chemical peels that rely on strong acids and rigid protocols, this peel uses spicules—tiny, gentle exfoliating particles—that provide a safer, more controlled experience. For practitioners, especially those treating clients with higher Fitzpatrick skin types, the unpredictability of strong acids can be a concern. The TimeMachine Peel offers a safer alternative that reduces the risk of adverse reactions while still delivering impressive improvements. The adaptability of the protocol allows providers to adjust pressure and timing based on the skin’s response, rather than following a strict timeline. This flexibility builds confidence in the treatment’s safety and effectiveness. Key Skin Indicators to Watch During Treatment Successful application of the TimeMachine Peel depends on careful observation of the skin’s reaction in real time. Several indicators guide how the peel is applied: Capillary response : Watch for changes in blood vessel visibility and color. Warmth : A gentle warming sensation indicates activation, but excessive heat signals stress. Erythema patterns : Mild redness can be a sign of effective exfoliation, but uneven or intense redness suggests irritation. Client feedback : The client’s comfort level is crucial. If the skin feels tight or overly warm, it’s time to adjust. The goal is to apply the peel with purposeful but respectful pressure. The skin will communicate when it has had enough, so the provider must remain attentive and responsive. This approach avoids chasing redness or ignoring discomfort, creating a balanced treatment experience. Why Preparation Is Crucial for the TimeMachine Peel Preparation sets the stage for the peel to work effectively and safely. The protocol emphasizes a double cleanse to remove oil, debris, and residue thoroughly. This step ensures the peel penetrates evenly and predictably, maximizing results. Interestingly, steaming the skin before the peel is not recommended. Unlike some treatments that benefit from steam to open pores, the TimeMachine Peel works smarter by relying on clean, intact skin rather than artificially softened skin. Proper prep means the peel can perform its function without needing to be stronger or more aggressive. Skipping or rushing the prep phase can lead to uneven results or increased irritation. Taking the time to cleanse properly supports the skin’s barrier and allows the peel to deliver visible improvements in texture and tone without compromising skin health. How Adaptability Enhances Treatment Outcomes One of the most valuable features of the TimeMachine Peel is its adaptability. Providers can tailor the treatment to each client’s unique skin condition, adjusting pressure, timing, and technique based on real-time feedback. This flexibility contrasts with traditional chemical peels that often follow a fixed timeline regardless of individual skin responses. By staying in control and responding to the skin’s signals, providers can avoid over-exfoliation and minimize downtime. For example, if a client’s skin shows signs of stress early in the treatment, the provider can reduce pressure or shorten the application time. Conversely, if the skin tolerates the peel well, the treatment can be extended slightly to enhance results. This personalized approach leads to better client satisfaction and healthier skin. Practical Tips for Providers Using the TimeMachine Peel Always perform a thorough double cleanse before starting the peel. Avoid steaming the skin prior to treatment to maintain barrier integrity. Monitor skin indicators closely during the peel, including color changes and warmth. Communicate with the client throughout the procedure to gauge comfort. Adjust pressure and timing based on skin feedback rather than following a rigid schedule. Educate clients about the importance of prep and aftercare to support healing and results. What Clients Can Expect from the TimeMachine Peel Clients often seek treatments that improve skin texture, reduce uneven tone, and enhance overall skin quality without harsh side effects. The TimeMachine Peel meets these needs by providing: Visible improvements in smoothness and brightness Minimal irritation or downtime A gentle, controlled exfoliation experience Safe treatment for a variety of skin types, including sensitive and higher Fitzpatrick skin tones By focusing on skin health and respecting individual responses, this peel offers a balanced solution for clients looking for effective yet gentle skin rejuvenation.
- A Barrier-First Approach to Advanced Skin Renewal: Inside the Storyderm TimeMachine Peel at Sweet Silhouette by Shayla
At Sweet Silhouette by Shayla, my approach to skin health is deeply rooted in Korean skincare principles prioritizing skin barrier integrity, advanced technology, and long-term results rather than quick fixes. Every treatment I introduce into my treatment room is chosen with intention, ensuring it supports the skin’s natural renewal process while delivering visible, lasting improvements. One protocol that perfectly aligns with this philosophy is the Storyderm TimeMachine Peel. With its innovative spicule (liquid microneedle) technology and emphasis on controlled stimulation, this treatment offers a results-driven yet skin-respecting solutio Why I Chose the TimeMachine Peel What initially drew me to the TimeMachine Peel was its ability to deliver advanced results without aggressively compromising the skin barrier. I was looking for a What truly gave me confidence was its spicule technology, which stimulates cellular renewal from within rather than relying solely on harsh surface exfoliation. The ingredient profile further reinforced that this protocol was designed to support the skin not fight it. With components like hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, centella asiatica, peptides, and propolis, the peel balances stimulation with hydration, soothing, and repair. Reading the Skin: Technique Over Force This treatment is not about pressure it’s about precision. During the protocol, I’m constantly monitoring skin reactivity and feedback, paying close attention to redness patterns, heat, sensitivity, and how evenly the skin responds as the peel is worked in. Areas with thicker skin may tolerate slightly more stimulation, while delicate zones require a lighter hand. Every movement is deliberate and adjusted in real time, with the goal of achieving effective micro-stimulation without tipping the skin into unnecessary inflammation. Why Proper Prep Is Non-Negotiable Preparation is everything with the TimeMachine Peel. The double cleanse ensures the skin is completely free of oil, debris, and residue, allowing the spicules to penetrate evenly and effectively. The steam step plays a crucial role by softening the stratum corneum, increasing skin receptivity while reducing the amount of pressure needed during application. When the skin is properly prepped, results are more consistent, the peel works more efficiently, and irritation is significantly minimized. Post-Treatment Comfort: Cooling and Red Light Therapy After an active treatment like this, calming and recovery are essential. Chilling the TimeMachine sheet mask provides immediate soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits, helping to reduce heat and enhance overall comfort. Pairing the mask with red light therapy further supports cellular repair, collagen stimulation, and inflammation reduction. Together, they create an ideal post-treatment environment that promotes healing while maximizing results. Who Is This Treatment Best For? The TimeMachine Peel responds beautifully in clients dealing with: -Pigmentation -Acne scarring -Dull or uneven texture -Enlarged pores -Early signs of aging This is especially true when the skin barrier is healthy and resilient. Clients with compromised barriers, active inflammation, or highly sensitized skin require a more cautious approach or may not be ideal candidates initially. In those cases, barrier repair and skin strengthening must come first before introducing this level of stimulation. Results, Recovery, and Setting Expectations Most clients experience mild redness and inflammation immediately after treatment, along with an instant glow, improved firmness, and smoother texture. Progressive improvements continue over the next 5–7 days as cellular turnover takes place. I always emphasize that this is a process-driven treatment, not a one-day transformation. Microneedle sensations, tingling, dryness, or light peeling may occur, and proper aftercare is essential. Consistency and respecting recovery time are key to achieving long-term, visible results. Advice for Estheticians Considering This Protocol For estheticians looking to implement the TimeMachine Peel successfully, my biggest advice is simple: slow down and listen to the skin. This peel does not require force to be effective. Proper preparation, controlled technique, and thoughtful pacing make all the difference. Respecting the skin barrier means knowing when to adjust pressure, when to stop, and when to prioritize recovery over intensity. When performed with intention, the Storyderm TimeMachine Peel delivers advanced results while preserving skin health and that should always be the ultimate goal.
- How to Get Your Valentine’s Day Offer Ready With Intention and Strategy
Valentine’s Day is one of those moments in the year that can either feel exciting and intentional or rushed and overwhelming. The difference comes down to one thing preparation. If you are reading this now, you are already ahead. When Should You Have Your Valentine’s Day Offer Ready Your Valentine’s Day offer should ideally be finalized four to six weeks before February 14 . That does not mean you need to be promoting it nonstop, but you should already know exactly what the offer is, who it is for, and what goal it supports in your business. Planning early allows you toBuild anticipationSpeak confidently about your offerEducate instead of pushAttract the right clients instead of everyone Last minute offers bring last minute energy. Planned offers bring aligned results. Pause and Get Clear on Your Goal Before choosing gifts, discounts, or bundles, pause and ask yourself what you actually want this offer to do. Take a moment and think through these questionsWho is my ideal client right nowDo I want new people in the doorDo I want to convert first time clientsDo I want to grow my membershipsDo I want to increase package salesDo I want more Google reviewsDo I want to reward loyalty Your answers should guide your offer. For exampleIf your goal is new clients, your offer should feel approachable and welcomingIf your goal is package sales, your Valentine’s offer can be layered onto a package purchaseIf your goal is more Google reviews, Valentine’s is a great time to say thank you to clients who leave thoughtful reviewsIf your goal is membership growth, everything should point back to the value of joining When your offer matches your goal, it feels strategic instead of random. Valentine’s Day Does Not Have to Mean Discounts One of the biggest misconceptions is that Valentine’s Day has to mean money off. Some of the strongest offers are built aroundExperienceAppreciationExclusivityThoughtful gifting Clients love feeling seen and valued. That emotional connection often goes further than a percentage off ever could. Keep It Simple and Clear Your Valentine’s Day offer should be easy to explain in one or two sentences. Ask yourselfWhat are they gettingWho is it forHow long is it availableWhat action do I want them to take Clear offers convert better than complicated ones. Ideas to Spark Your Valentine’s Day Offer If you are still brainstorming, here are a few ways to think outside of discounts while still creating excitement. You might host an open house and offer tickets to attend. That ticket can turn into a gift with purchase. Anyone who attends and books a service, joins a membership, or purchases a package receives a small Valentine’s themed gift. This keeps the event feeling special and intentional. Another idea is an experience based event , like a peel party. For example, clients purchase a series of three chemical peels and receive a sunblock and eye patches as a bonus. This protects your pricing while increasing perceived value. These small touches matter. The gifts do not have to be expensive to feel thoughtful. When something is packaged well and paired with a thank you, clients feel appreciated and remembered. You are not just selling a service. You are creating a moment. What I Am Doing for Valentine’s Day and Why For my business, my main goal right now is growing my memberships , so everything I am doing is centered around that. I will be gifting eye patches to my current members as a thank you for being part of my membership. I want my members to feel appreciated and cared for, not forgotten once they join. I am also using these as an incentive for new members . I will be hosting an open live and an open house event, and anyone who joins my membership during that time will receiveEye patchesA lollipopA cute thank you note It is simple, thoughtful, and aligned with where I want my business to grow. This approach also leaves room to show appreciation in other ways. Valentine’s Day is a great time to acknowledge loyal clients, referrals, and those who support your business through Google reviews. A Valentine’s Day offers work best when they are intentional. Start early. Get clear on your goal. Build your offer around the clients you actually want to attract and retain. When you do that, February feels calm, confident, and aligned instead of chaotic. And that is always the goal.
- 6 Things You Must Do Before You Build (or Rehab) Your Estie Website
A Smith & Crawford Guide for Estheticians Who Want a Website That Actually Converts If you’re an esthetician getting ready to build (or glow-up) your website in 2025… pause that Wix tab for one hot second. Because here’s the truth no one tells you: Your website is the LAST step — not the first. A profitable, polished, client-magnetizing esthetician website is built on strategy, clarity, visuals, messaging, and alignment that happens before a single pixel is designed. And this is exactly where most estheticians go wrong. They jump right into picking templates. They start dragging and dropping things into Canva. They upload random photos from their camera roll. And they expect it to magically “look professional.” But you’re not just building a website. You’re building a brand asset that books clients, positions you as the expert, and becomes the home base for your esthetician business. So before you touch a template, scroll one more time, or yell “WHY IS THIS FONT DOING THAT?” at your laptop… here are the 6 things you absolutely need in place first. 1. Do a Small, Professional Photoshoot (Yes… Before the Website Begins) A website without professional photos is like a facial without moisturizer. It technically works, but the result is dry, unfinished, and not giving what it needs to give. Your website is a visual experience.Clients decide in 3 seconds if you look credible, elevated, and worth booking. And nothing elevates faster than thoughtful, intentional brand photography. Here’s what your shoot should include: ✔ Headshots Clean, welcoming, natural. People buy from faces they trust. ✔ Treatment shots Holding tools, performing services, prepping the treatment room, cozy close-ups of towels or serums, with all that aesthetic goodness. ✔ Lifestyle content Smiling, standing, working, writing notes, looking at your product shelves, mixing masks as examples. You want photos that show energy, confidence, and your esthetician personality. ✔ Space shots Even if you rent a room, make it look intentional. Clean counters, and thoughtfully arrange bottles in an aesthetic way. Your environment matters. This doesn’t need to be a huge, expensive shoot. You don’t need 300 photos. You just need 20–30 strategic ones that match your brand vibe and give your website designer real imagery to work with. Bottom line: Professional photos instantly make your website look 10x more expensive, trustworthy, and polished — even if you’re brand new. 2. Define Your Brand Foundation: Fonts, Colors & Visual Aesthetic Your website cannot look cohesive or luxe if your brand doesn’t have a clear visual identity. Fonts and colors matter — not because they’re “cute,” but because they create brand recognition, consistency, and authority. You need at minimum: ✔ A primary brand color ✔ A secondary/neutral color palette ✔ A clean, readable paragraph font ✔ A high-end headline font ✔ A photography style that matches your aesthetic If you want to attract premium clients, you need premium visual consistency. Strong branding does the heavy lifting for you. It tells your website designer: how your buttons should look how your headers should feel how your photos should be edited what your layout needs to convey This is why our Estie Brand & Website and Mini Estie Brand & Website packages always start with brand development first — because the website cannot exist without it. Before you build, decide: ✔ Are you soft neutrals or bold statement colors? ✔ Are you minimal, clinical, warm, or luxurious? ✔ Are your clients earthy spa girls or modern med-aesthetic lovers? Clarity here = a website that feels intentional, not random. 3. Clarify Your Brand Voice & Messaging (What You Say + How You Say It) This is the step estheticians skip most, and it’s the one that converts the most. Your brand voice is your personality in words. It’s how you talk about: skin treatments results client experience what makes you different You need to know, before your website is designed: Are you clinical and educational? Are you warm, cozy, and holistic? Are you edgy + bold? Are you funny, approachable, and trendy? Are you luxury, minimalist, and highly curated? Your copywriter or designer cannot guess this. If your tone isn’t defined, your website ends up sounding generic. And generic websites don’t convert. Your voice should: speak directly to your ideal client validate their concerns position you as the skin expert explain your philosophy show your personality make booking feel like the obvious next step This is why we help our Estie clients create “brand voice guidelines” because once your voice is defined, everything clicks into place. 4. Organize Your Service Menu & Treatment Structure With Intention Scrolling a chaotic service list is the digital version of walking into a cluttered spa lobby. Your website needs a strategic, simplified menu that makes booking easy, not overwhelming. Before your build, answer these questions: ✔ What treatments do you actually want to be known for? Not the ones you tolerate, the ones you absolutely love. ✔ Which services convert first-time clients the best? Lead with those. ✔ Which treatments are your higher-ticket or signature services? Feature them prominently. ✔ Do your services need better grouping? Example: Corrective Facials Acne Programs Age Management Treatments Advanced Modalities Add-ons ✔ What is your long-term client journey? How do they progress from beginner to long-term?This determines how your website guides them. Clients need clarity: what the treatment does who it’s for how often to come what results to expect If you don’t outline this before the website is built, the site will feel unfocused, unclear, and harder to convert. 5. Write or Outline Client-Focused Copy That Converts Most esthetician websites talk at clients instead of to them. Your website copy needs to: build trust reduce hesitation position you as the expert remove confusion get them excited make booking feel obvious Before the site is built, outline: your mission + philosophy what makes your approach special who you serve the transformation you offer what makes your treatments different FAQs you answer constantly client problems you solve results they can expect Strong copy = strong conversions. Weak copy = people clicking away. This is why many estheticians build a site and still feel like “something isn’t working.”99% of the time? It's the messaging, not the design. And yes… this is exactly the difference our clients feel when they invest in a Smith & Crawford brand and website. We write copy that turns browsers into bookers. 6. Gather Your Tech, Reviews, Policies & Proof So Nothing Slows Down Your Build Website builds slow down not because of design, but because estheticians don’t have the backend pieces ready. Here’s what you MUST gather beforehand: ✔ Booking Link A direct link to your booking platform (Vagaro, GlossGenius, Boulevard, etc.). ✔ Client Testimonials + Before/Afters Proof sells.Your website needs credibility, not just pretty layouts. ✔ Your Policies Cancellation Late arrivals No-shows Returns Membership terms All written and ready. ✔ Your Email, Phone, Address & Socials Brand-consistent and updated. ✔ Any Forms or Programs Consultation formsMembership PDFsPre- and post-care instructionsAcne program details ✔ Your SEO Targets Your cityYour nicheYour service keywords If you want a smooth, stress-free website build, have these assets gathered before the project begins. Your designer will thank you. Your timeline will thank you. Your future self will thank you. Here’s Where Smith & Crawford Comes In… Once estheticians realize how much goes into a professional, high-converting website, they fall into one of two camps: 1️⃣ “I want this done right — someone please take over.” or2️⃣ “I love the DIY spirit… but I need strategy, structure, and design support.” We built two packages specifically for estheticians at two different stages: ⭐ The Estie Brand & Website — $2997 (Full Mini Brand + 3-Page Website Build) Perfect for estheticians who want: A polished, elevated, luxury brand A fully built website that feels expensive A high-end digital home for their business Professional copywriting included Done-for-you strategy, design, and structure Includes: ✔ Brand colors + fonts ✔ Moodboard + aesthetic direction ✔ Homepage ✔ Services page ✔ About page ✔ Booking integration ✔ SEO setup ✔ Copywriting ✔ Mobile optimization ✔ Payment plans available ⭐ The Mini Estie Brand & One-Page Website — $1797 (Fonts & Colors Only + A Beautiful Single-Page Site) Perfect for beginners, solo esties, or those not ready for a full build. Includes: ✔ Fonts + color suite ✔ Beautiful one-page layout ✔ Service overview ✔ About section ✔ Booking section ✔ Contact section ✔ Light SEO setup ✔ Payment plans available Same S&C polish. Smaller footprint. Budget-friendly. Still stunning. Final Word: Your Website Is Your First Impression — Make It Count You deserve a website that feels like you. Professional. Warm. Expert. Trustworthy. Booked-out energy. And that doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by preparing intentionally. Do these six things before you build, and your website will not just look gorgeous… it will work. - What Estheticians Can Learn From Kmart: Why AI Is the Future of Your Beauty Business
Kmart was once one of the most powerful retailers in the country. Everyone shopped there. They had loyal customers, prime locations, and a brand name that felt untouchable. So why did Kmart close? Many experts agree on one core reason: Kmart failed to adapt. While other brands embraced the rise of the internet, modernized their systems, and evolved with consumer behavior, Kmart stayed comfortable. They didn’t innovate. They didn’t take technology seriously. They held onto the old way of doing things. And slowly, people moved on. Kmart didn’t close because it was bad. Kmart closed because it refused to change. - NeurotriS Q&A: Pricing, Packages, and Expert Tips for Amazing Results
How much do you charge for a NeurotriS treatment? Ask for typical pricing for a single session . National average should be anywhere from $250 and above with a discount on packages Also ask about package deals (how many sessions, how much discount). 25% off on the packages Ask if pricing varies by type (face microcurrent vs body sculpting vs combined). No, you can charge the same on body vs the face but if you are working on multip What package options do you recommend or most clients pick? How many sessions do people usually buy? 6-8, with facials 2x week Maintenance vs initial package: what does that look like? Maintenance sessions may be scheduled monthly to bi-monthly, depending on the client’s goals and expectations. Clients may also choose to complete multiple treatment series to help achieve their desired results. What’s the cost difference (or value) between different package levels. Advanced modalities vs basic facials What is your favorite NeurotriS protocol to do on clients? Which frequency or “phase” do you like the most (facial lift, muscle tone, body sculpting, etc)? I don’t have a single favorite tool, or specific program because achieving the best results requires using all of them at different stages of the treatment—something we cover thoroughly during training. With that said, if I had to choose, my personal favorite is the Photon 3-in-1. Why that one – what results have you seen? It features LED light therapy in red, blue, and green, a true dynamic microcurrent function using the Red Infinity probe or the snap cable with conductive pads, and it can also be used for standard microcurrent treatments. How do you customize the protocol for different client goals (aging skin, sagging, inches, face vs body). It all begins with the products and modalities I select for each client, as the specific microcurrent protocol is most effective when used in conjunction with other treatments. During training, you will learn exactly which programs to use based on your client’s individual goals, ensuring you can create the most effective and customized treatment plan. How many treatments do clients typically need to see “real” or lasting results? What’s your typical recommended timeline (e.g., 2x/week for 5 weeks, then maintenance)? This will depend on the client’s commitment and the level of their skin concerns. If a client is seeking a dramatic transformation and wants to avoid going “under the knife,” it may require up to two years of consistent dedication, including multiple treatment series and a homecare routine incorporating our Pico Toner. When do you recommend clients do maintenance sessions and how often? Some clients come in monthly, while others prefer bi-monthly visits. We’ve found that completing sessions twice per week results in approximately 30% greater improvement compared to once-a-week treatments. What kind of results have you personally seen / your clients seen? Before & after anecdote(s): lifting, toning, inch loss, facial firmness. I have seen lifting, toning, skin texture changes with just one facial! The reactions I get when I show them the before and after's are why I do what I do. Any standout success stories. We have quite a few on the website that we are quite proud of, but understand these results took time, client commitment and dedication. How soon do clients start to see a difference? Some will see it the same day, this is why it is crucial to take those pictures! Are there any contraindications or clients who are not a good fit? Health conditions, skin types, age limits, or other risk factors. The earlier you start in life the better, but of course we do not recommend to use it on children. What do you screen for before someone starts NeurotriS treatment? Medical conditions they may be actively seeing their physician for and getting treatments for, the physician will always be the one who ultimately clears the client for a microcurrent facial or series. How does NeurotriS compare to other microcurrent / body sculpting technologies? Why choose NeurotriS over other microcurrent devices or other modalities? We are not only FDA-registered and 510(k)-cleared, but our devices are also manufactured in an FDA-cleared facility in the United States.Featuring Dynamic Intelligent Microcurrent. Proudly made in the USA. What makes it unique (technology, “dynamic intelligent microcurrent,” etc.)? Dynamic Intelligent Microcurrent (DIMC) represents the next major advancement in microcurrent therapy because of its biologically adaptive behavior. Unlike first-generation static microcurrent devices—which deliver a fixed, unvarying electrical output—DIMC systems continuously sense, interpret, and respond to the skin’s real-time bioelectrical activity. This adaptive response means the device adjusts amplitude, waveform, and current flow based on tissue feedback, making the method of delivery far more significant than focusing on a single preset frequency. In other words, while frequency plays a role, the true efficacy of microcurrent lies in how intelligently and dynamically the current is delivered, allowing DIMC to align more closely with the body’s natural bioelectrical communication Dynamic Intelligent Microcurrent is patented and FDA 510k CLEARED for esthetician use What do clients say about their experience (comfort, downtime, how it “feels”)? Most feel a tingling sensation, some see orbs of light, some feeling or see nothing at all, and that is all okay, they do not need to feel or see anything to have amazing results. What does training / certification look like for you / for estheticians who use NeurotriS? Did you have to be certified? No, but have to be trained to use it and will get the certification when you train with us. How long did the training take? ½ day for hands on with your educator and you get online portal access as well. Does NeurotriS provide ongoing support, updates, or new protocols? Of course we offer additional assistance with your representative. What are common “boosters” or add-ons you combine with NeurotriS? Do you pair it with other treatments (LED, cryotherapy, peels)? Yes, we offer an Advanced Education Two Day Training and are traveling around the country to offer these two-day events, so please check our Event's Page for a training event near you! What combos have gotten the best results in your practice? I love it with Nanoinfusion, peels and LED but we have many providers using it microneedling as well. How do you price and sell this service to your clients? How do you explain its benefits? I tell my clients it is going to give you a boost of energy, the same one we have in our own bodies to hydrate the cells and oxygenate them for healing. What objections do you get, and how do you overcome them? No objections so far! The only question clients usually ask is whether there is any discomfort — and the answer is no . How do you position it in your service menu (premium, signature, add-on)? Most of our up-scale providers have it included in all facials because we know the benefits and want everyone to enjoy them, but you can certainly have a signature Red-Carpet with a luxury skincare product line of your choice as we are product line neutral. What’s your advice for other estheticians or spa owners thinking about investing in a NeurotriS machine? What should they consider before buying? Have some family or friends in mind that you would to try it on to have those before and after's ready for, another way is by including it for free to your top clients and asking them if its okay to take a few pictures with this new modality you have, we have consent forms for you if you need them. What ROI (return on investment) have you seen or projected? Any lessons learned or things you wish you knew before starting. Just making sure to market the service as often and to all your clients as possible so you have excitement. be confident, Knowlegable, and edicated.
